Decided to try out the trail round Wotton-Under-Edge & Dursley - unfortunately by myself. Also bad news 'cos I only had a sketchy map & no details!

Needless to say, after 2 hrs of slogging through seriously muddy tracks and only getting about 1/4 of the way round with 1 hr of daylight left I decided to take a short cut back.

Impressions: Too much on-road stuff for my liking. Some of the steepest climbs I've ever made (on road). Too many unexpected 5-bar gates, farmers fields & cows! Trails getting too muddy now - probably 'till next spring. A couple of good, technical descents.

I'll probably try to take a look at the North Nibley section over the next week or so.
